The Lord

The Lord

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.

Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100

Wow, the state of our society is being challenged. Covid-19. High unemployment. The awakening of white America to the injustice to black persons.

It could be construed that things are coming to an end, or, this is the beginning of something very different.

It could be considered that we are at one another’s throats.

We could see all this as humanity’s wake up call.

A great deal is going to be expected of us.

-To protect our collective health.

-To make possible the jobs needed to feed and be fed.

-To break apart our feelings of mistrust and fear.

I think some of this is going to be dependent upon God- for the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever.

There comes a time when we are at our wit’s end. Falling to our knees is the only path to renewal.

Know that the Lord is good, It is he that made us, and we are his.- There are countless humans who have assumed the role of leader, did you know that many of them simply do not know what to do? They start with a humble heart, acknowledging their weakness, and they call upon the Almighty for direction.

Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing- Please join me every Sunday, or now, nearly any time you desire, to stop all that we are doing to recognize that we are mere beings and not the Creator. We begin our days with praise- that way all the rest we do is not done in vain, for the Lord hears us and inspires us so.

I hope it is so, with you.

Today, it will making, worshiping, knowing, entering, and praising. May it be with me.

Rev. Ken
